One of the most anticipated moments of the day was the presence of Mr. Leong Kok Heng, ASEAN South Partner Manager from Dassault Systèmes, the company behind SOLIDWORKS. He shared an inspiring presentation about the evolution of SOLIDWORKS from its humble beginnings 30 years ago to becoming one of the most trusted 3D design software solutions worldwide. 7. Exploring Beyond SOLIDWORKS: Transvalor, Artec, and Formlabs

SWID 2026 wasn’t just about SOLIDWORKS. It was about showing the entire ecosystem of design to production tools that support engineers and manufacturers. First, Durga Prasad, Director of India Operations at Transvalor, introduced participants to Transvalor’s simulation solutions powerful tools that help engineers predict, optimize, and improve material forming processes.

Next, the spotlight shifted to Artec 3D Scanner, with Kristina and Xin Yi demonstrating live how 3D scanning can capture real world objects with incredible precision. The audience watched in awe as physical objects were digitally recreated in seconds.

And to complete the workflow, Formlabs 3D Printer showcased its cutting edge printing technology, bringing digital designs into tangible form.Together, these three technologies Artec for scanning, SOLIDWORKS for designing, and Formlabs for printing formed a seamless workflow that represents the future of smart manufacturing.
